Nikon D60

Currently I'm playing with Baby's Nikon D60. It's been at my house since last week, because I'm intending to take more pictures of the kids, and make it into a scrapbook if possible.

It wasn't easy to take at least a shot, because they're moving causing the pictures to be blurred or the pose they had that you wanted to take was no longer there. Anyway, I hadn't been doing much lately, just resting my aching body for like the past 2 days. I'm going to get my butt out tomorrow no matter what, because it's an important day.

Videography/Graduation Ceremony

I wasn't online last night, because I was working. Not for Vocare Media, well for Stanley, a guy who is trying to set up his own company. Currently, if I'm not wrong, he's doing freelance.

Anyway, I meet him up at Farrer Park to collect the equipments. 2 tripod stands, and 3 cameras with sun gun. It was heavy, although I carried 1 tripod stand and 1 camera. Yup, only the two of us as videographer for the night. Tiring I would say. Just carrying the equipments, I'm already sweating before I reach Swissotel.

We set up the equipments. OK, Micky who has done filming in school doesn't know how to use the tripod stand. Don't laugh OK, I'm not familiar with this stand at all. Baby was laughing when I told her I had learned to use the tripod stand. T.T Not my fault that I don't know. My role in school was Producer/Director. And the tripod stand we used during filming at Vivo, wasn't touched by me. As usual Loke wants to do everything. So I didn't get to play with that thing. Humph.

And the camera was so different from what I had. I had not played it before, because as a role as Producer/Director, I was pushing the buttons in the studio looking at 3 monitor at once and giving commands.


After setting up the camera, we tested if it works for LIVE telecast. Yes, LIVE telecast. And good thing the camera Micky is going to operate has problem so it can't be telecast on screen LIVE. *phew*

It was super tiring. My leg was aching, my back was in pain. I sms-ed to complain to Baby during break time, and seeing me working in this state for the first time, she decided to give me a surprise. She handmade a cube panda for me. *happy* To hang on my handphone to be exact. I love it lots.

Yup, Micky has never work something so tedious. And she earned her $100 that night doing something she like.


Micky was doing a videography for this company, Price Waterhouse Cooper, dinner and dance. Their theme was Shanghai night. Their guest emcees was Jamie Yeo and Hossan Leong.


After a day's work, Micky has got herself rashes on both her shoulders. Because she sweat alot because she carried the equipment to the hotel and walking quite a long distance before getting a cab home after work. :(


Due to work, Micky doesn't have her dinner. And so I had this plate of maggi mee when I got home. Super hungry. T.T Working life is a torture.

I had my graduation today at Ritz Carlton Hotel today. And I brought Baby towards Carlton hotel instead. =x And so we had to cab there, because I was late and we couldn't find where the hotel was. My bad, I didn't check the map before going to the hotel to attend my graduation ceremony.

Reached the place to my surprise, none of my girls were there attending. I was the only one. But thank goodness, Janice was there. She accompanied me to register. I filled up a form and got myself a graduation bear for free. I passed it to Baby before running off for my briefing.

I shall skip the sad part.

Graduation ceremony was long winded especially for the speeches.


We were seated at around 12plus to 2pm. And finally the whole ceremony began. MDIS staff marched in first with 6 flags, followed by the Master/Bachelor Degree students, then the VIP, Guest of Honor and the lecturers.

Funny thing was, during one point where they were introducing the lecturers from MDIS and Oklahoma City University, my classmates were all so eager to cheer for KL Lim and Sivam. Causing them both to be the most popular lecturers. OK, we prefer KL Lim, but they cheered for Sivam for the sake of disturbing him. *laughs*

Finally, I got my scroll. I was the 6th to get, because of where I was seated. We're not seated accordingly, just randomly pick a place, and I got myself the very right corner first few. =.=

I got up nervously, posed and smiled weirdly when taking with the president of MDIS and Oklahoma City University. Got down the stage, saw Baby sitting at the very corner, and she showed me her tongue. =.=

After everything, I had photo taking session as a group with the lecturers and presidents, before heading out for high tea with Baby. She got herself quite a few of bread to try. Had a few drinks and desserts before we headed out towards Marina Square.


We came across these machines, and Baby started playing with it. We got ourselves two rabbits. One is white, another is pink. We dropped the white one quite a number of time, so we had to wash it. =.=

She was choosing cars to play, and only two was unlocked, the rest are locked. She didn't notice this part, and kept choosing the car happily. Eventually, she realised the one she choose was locked.

Women VS Men

I was browsing through the internet like before. And long ago I stumbled on this wedding site, as you know many girls would dream of having the perfect wedding, that includes me. Because Baby doesn't really like me to think that far, so I am minimizing my fantasies.

Seen the Hello Kitty themed wedding. And I was thinking, how would the guy feel of having a Hello Kitty themed wedding? Maybe I wouldn't opt for Hello Kitty themed wedding. Maybe I'll opt for Penguin and Mouse wedding theme in future.

Anyway, Hello Kitty theme wasn't that main point I am talking about. The main thing was, this . . .

I was browsing through this wedding site and I came across this 37 things a sensitive and new age husband can do. And the comments wasn't good, because the men are saying about the women. Since I'm a girl myself (I'm not a woman yet), I think it wasn't entirely the women's fault.

Why can't men sees their fault too?

OK, forget about the lists both the husband and wife have to follow. It's the 21st century now, both men and women are working right? So, it would be fair that both take turns to take their role as husband and wife.

Another list that basically paints the man as someone who has to work like an ox to keep wifey all entertained and feeling fuzzy.

Then how about women? They turned into 黄脸婆 because of the men. They do the housework while the men did nothing. (Happens in my family, I think most asian country are like that right?) Are we women born to do housework, filial the husband, look after the kids, cook, buy groceries? We get married because we have to do all this shit and give up our dream? Why can't men work like an ox at least for certain period of time?

I mean, women does have the rights to do something for example, things that they like. Go to work and not give up their career because they're married, right?

Ladies, it’s your attitude that ruins it, each and every time. Stop reading Cosmo and listening to Oprah, they know nothing about men and what drives us.

I was wondering, why is it we, the women, always ruin things? Doesn't men ruin their own marriage because of having an affair outside? Because of their attitude as well? Because of their temper? Because they abuse their wife? Because they are too demanding at times? Why does women always get this kind of shit.

You see, the men just want the women to work like ox, or rather work worst than an ox. It's the 21st century, women don't necessary need a men to survive. We have our goals, we have our dreams to aim and achieve for. We don't need to sit at home, do all those household chores, serve the husband like a servant/maid.

Why can't the men and women share equal rights? Just because women are fragile?

Anyway, not important to me. Just my thoughts. Hopefully my wife don't give me a good wife list like this:

THE GOOD WIFE’S GUIDE

* Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious dinner ready, on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favourite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.

* A good wife always knows her place.

I know that I needed to help my Baby in the future when we live together. I know that we both need to accommodate to each others' sensitivity and emotions. Most importantly, love one another. *blush*

在专访中，林俊杰笑说，日前在Hit Fm巧遇周杰伦，周董专门给他变了一个“双J魔术”（因为林俊杰昵称叫JJ），结果他自己当晚做梦就一直梦到周杰伦，隔天起床还患上了重感冒。JJ开玩笑说，“原来周杰伦不只懂魔术，还懂魔咒，希望他能帮我把预算变多一点。”

in C reduces benefits of cancer drugs: study

WASHINGTON - Vitamin C supplements may significantly reduce the effectiveness of several anti-cancer drugs, according to a new study published Wednesday.

In tests on isolated cancer cells in the laboratory, researchers found that 30 to 70 per cent fewer of the cells were killed if pretreated with vitamin C.

In studies of cancer cells in mice, studies found that tumours grew more rapidly if the animal was treated with chemotherapy and also given vitamin C supplements.

Researchers suggest that similar effects may occur in human patients.

"The use of vitamin C supplements could have the potential to reduce the ability of patients to respond to therapy," said Mark Heaney, an Associate Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and lead author of the study.

Past studies have suggested vitamin C could be beneficial to cancer patients because it is an antioxidant. In August, a study showed that injected high does of vitamin C reduced the size of tumours and slowed cancerous growths by about 50 percent in laboratory mice.

The new research shows that a number of chemotherapy drugs produce "oxygen free radicals." According to the study's theory, vitamin C could "sop up the radicals," keeping cancer cells alive despite chemotherapy treatment.

Heaney said that he suspects vitamin C is good for cells in normal tissue, and extends cell life by protecting the all-important mitochondra, the cell's "power plant" that keeps it running.

"But that isn't what you want when you are trying to eliminate cancer cells," said Heaney.

All cancer therapy drugs work to disrupt the mitochondria, to push for cell
death.

The study notes that cancer patients should eat a healthy diet, including foods rich in vitamin C.

A Night Out

Although my weekend wasn't a happy one, but my weekday, was happy. I went out at night after a year of staying at home being the good girl that seldom sneak out at night for some fun. That's because there's some pest in my room which I don't like, I detest him in that sense, and Baby hated him. She didn't mind me going out that late because she rather me be outside than at home suffering.

So, I went out at night to Causeway Point to meet my Evil sister. She was late as she said that her bus got kidnapped somewhere along the way. And so, I waited for her right outside breadtalk till she arrives.

Headed off towards MacDonald for dinner. I requested for a small/regualar cup of lemon tea, somehow, this sister of mine, got me a huge one. =,= She said because she dote on me, and so she bought me a large one. =.= Thank you sister for your large lemon tea.

The table next to us was awfully noisy. Sister commented on them a few times. Anyway, this sister is damn funny in some ways. I lend her my low battery NDS to play. She started looking through all those games I had. From puzzle to Phoenix Wright to car racing and so on and so forth.

She was asking me what's Phoenix Wright. I told her it's about being a lawyer to solve cases. And she totally gave me a very cold reply.

So if I play this game, I am already a lawyer right?

That's what she replied me. When I said that her reply was cold, she replied me with yet another cold one.

That's why you're wearing a jacket.

Thank you sister, for like making my day even colder despite the rain outside. *laughs* Anyway, she was playing this game, puzzle bubbles, and she totally had lots of comments on it. That including need for speed. =.=

At around 9:30pm, we headed off towards Rail Mall to meet up Tong for a drink. Yes, you didn't read wrongly. Micky is finally out for a drink, BUT WITH PERMISSION of course. I wouldn't want to risk me getting lectured by Baby.

Because I'll get drunk easily, I was forbid to drink outside or alone, unless there's someone Baby trust is around me. And so, I used Evil sister's name. And so, I got the green light. *laughs*

Baby said she's coming over because she was worried about me being drunk and no one sends me home. But along the way during her journey over, she got quite pissed off at some of my reply. I didn't mean to, but yup, sorry.

We entered Denise the Wine Shop after Tong has arrived. Before Tong arrived, I've already exchanged my shoe with Baby's heels. T.T So I started walking quite a little slow in that sense. We had a bottle of red wine shared among us.

The ambience was quite nice, quite cold. Overall good. After a few chat and drink, the 3 of them headed out for a smoke. Yes, my Baby is back smoking because she wasn't happy that day. Although I don't really like it, but I let her because I understand her somehow last night. But I would still kiss her after that even though the smell and taste of tobacco was strong.

Anyway, after 1am, Evil sister, Baby and me was sitting at the bus stop for a chat all the way until like around 3 to 4 plus in the morning? I headed off towards AMK with Baby for supper, had a few minutes of being together before I took a cab home.

And Baby said she didn't want to smoke again. So maybe I won't be able to taste the tobacco from her again. :(
