8 More Days

Just 8 more days, and I'm off to Indulgz for a meal with Baby for our 1st Year Anniversary.

Yes, Indulgz, the one that Xiaxue blogs about? We're going there, after one occasion where I said I wanted to try the food there since Xiaxue has given good comments on it. Although it was a little or rather way over expensive then we could afford, Baby says not to worry. Because it's once in a while, it's not that we're having expensive meals everyday. Besides, she said if the food is nice, I can consider having my 21st birthday bash there if I wanted to. Yes, Micky's birthday bash.

I've already thought of a theme for my 21st birthday bash. It would be panda, and I would so hopefully wish that all of my guest will come attend my birthday in panda costumes. Imagine dozens of pandas in a place, how nice. Why Singapore doesn't have any pandas to look at?

Anyway, many had been asking me when I'm starting work. And since I didn't know when, I e-mailed Jamie, the company's coordinator. She said since I'm starting as a part-timer, so when there's project and in need of man power, they'll contact me. So they'll keep my files and call me when they needed people. Yup, so much of a company but it's better than nothing. So, currently, I'm just rotting at home reading books. Nope, Baby won't be feeding and sponsoring my daily expenses. Because so far there isn't a need to.

Another question popped out. Why am I called Micky?

During secondary school, there's quite a number of people had the same name as me. Like say, there's one mixed blood Michelle who is one year younger than me. And there's another Michelle like say, around two years younger than me.

And to avoid calling me Michelle, where many would respond by turning their heads, my friends decided to call me Micky instead. It's the same logic, for Geraldine in my level.

For Normal Academic classes, we've Geraldine Goh, Geraldine Pang and Gerardine Loke. So we just call them by the surname to differentiate the different Geraldine. Although Loke's name should be pronounce as Ge-rar-dine, many still mispronounce it as Geraldine instead. And she was totally happy when Ms. Betsy Teo pronounce it the right way.

So yup, that's why I'm called Micky.

Books

Recently, I've fallen in love with books. From photography to videography. And some novels that aren't thick and the words aren't small, and they have to catch my attention to read them.

Previously, I borrowed 2 books. Done with one, and the other was too boring, well for me.

[Don't Tell Me The Truth About Love] by Dan Hodes. The book comes in a short stories form, and I would say some short stories are OK, while some wasn't to my liking. Like the girl trying to dig out the guy's eye because she only had one eye. And yup, he let her dig it because he love her and didn't want her to be sad.

[This Side of Married] by Rachel Pastan. I didn't read finish the first chapter because I got bored after that. I wouldn't say it's a boring book, but it's just that the story of the book just isn't for me.

Borrowed another 2 books. [The ABC's of Love] and [Animal Photography]. Was reading like say, 1/4 of [The ABC's of Love]. So far so good. Wasn't that bad.

I borrowed the [Animal Photography] because I wanted to learn how to take photographs of like say, my hamsters? Because I'm thinking of making a scrapbook solely for my precious hamsters. And yes, Baby will be lending me her Nikon D60 do take photographs. *happy*

I'm off to read my books.

We're expecting the new arrivals of Baby Hamsters

Firstly, people congrat me and Honey please.

We're both expecting the new arrivals of baby syrian hamsters. Yes, we've mated Tubby and Simba together a week ago. And we're expecting baby hamsters by next Thursday. That's fast, I know, but what to do?

Firstly, we noticed she's putting on weight.
Secondly, her nipples seems to be protruding then before.
Thirdly, we suspect she's pregnant.

We checked Pebbles as well, but she didn't had the sign of putting on weight and protruding nipples. So we presume that Tubby is pregnant, and Pebbles isn't. We mated them both together to be exact.

And I wish all the baby hamsters will live. Not a single one eaten in that sense. It's sad to see a few missing baby hamsters. And yes, I've stick some post on my glass sliding door next to my balcony, to take extra precautions and care towards Tubby.

No worries, I'll be giving my attention to the other 3, but more attention to Tubby since she's pregnant. And to prevent her from fighting with Pebbles, I've sent her off to a new home. A nice big tub full of facilities for her, and only her. Lucky girl. When Pebbles was pregnant, I'm still panicking of what to do.

Anyway, let's all wait anxiously for the arrival of the babies. *happy*

Oh yes, finally I've got back my Tiny. Previously, we brought home by accident, Leon, who is the brother of Tiny and they looked exactly alike except for their size. Tiny is safe at home enjoying himself now. *happy*

Poor Uncle Gary Chaw

OK, he's just like 29 this year I think, so he isn't that old. But I don't know why I just called him uncle Gary. =x

Anyway, he's so poor thing. Like many of us should have know by now that he's married. Ya, Micky's greatest shock in her life. It's like he's out in the entertainment industry like not long, and here he's getting married.

I don't know who the bride is though, because I've no idea who she is. =x

I was browsing through xin.sg, and I came upon this news that stated that his marriage was a shot gun marriage. And that he uses this greatest news to advertise his concert in Taipei. Poor him. Having a good news doesn't mean he's using it to advertise his concert right?

I mean, we all know who Gary Chaw is. And we know he's a great singer and composer. He don't need to use such ways to advertise himself isn't it?

I was reading Perez Hilton days ago, or maybe just yesterday. I was browsing through the artistes that I know. And I happened to stumble across this news on Clay Aiken.

Yes, he's a dad now. His son, who is around 6 weeks old, whose name was, Parker Foster Aiken. (Hopefully I didn't get the name wrong.) Jaymes Foster was the mother, and Clay Aiken the father.

I told Baby that Clay is now a father. She began asking me who he is. Hmm. . . Guess she didn't really watch TV during that period of time when Clay took part in American Idol. Can't blame her. I think she only recently managed to catch a few TV shows out of her free time as in.

Anyway, Clay Aiken has finally come out of the closet. He finally admitted that he's gay, after so long of hiding that is. Or maybe, he's just trying to protect his private life in that sense. Anyway, all the best in becoming a father.

And I got another shocking news. I won't share it with you, because I'm selfish. Nehx. I just think that this particular guy needs his privacy protected. And that, he does need his private space as well. So wait till he had made it official, then you'll know what this shocking news is about. =x

Deep in Thoughts

After a talk with Baby, I didn't really talked to her after that. I guess I've hurt her in my reply. Sorry Baby, I didn't mean it.

I know of the importance of having a goal in life, and where I'll work towards it and achieve it. And I know how I'd feel at the end of the day when I've achieved it. But sadly to say, I don't have any goals in life, and that is yet. I know I'll soon find the goals in my life.

Baby had given me examples. I may not be ambitious, I may not want any high paid jobs. I'm just easily contented with enough cash in hands to go on in life. But like any other people, I yearn to aim for the highest position in my career and get high pay. That is because I want to earn enough to start a family, enough to support my family, my parents and give my precious Baby a good life ahead.

Yes, I may have a good life since I was young. I don't have to worry of not enough food to eat, not enough to wear. I get whatever I want since young. From a bicycle of my own, to a kick scooter, to a laptop. I get the toys that Baby didn't even had the chance to had. I stayed in a private estate at the age of 7 to the age of 9. Though without working for months, I won't get starve to death. Yes, that's the good life I had.No, my family isn't rich now, but we were years. Maybe even before I was born.

I'm a fickle minded person when it comes to setting a goal in my career. I thought of venturing into music. But many told me to give it up since I don't have a music background. I thought of venturing into Radio DJ, but Baby said I'm too quiet, but I can work on it. By just talking to people that I'm close with. I'm trying, but I just don't have that specific conversation with them. And now, I'm thinking of producer. Though I may not have entirely know of the job scope of being a producer, but I know I'm keen in knowing more.

Whatever that is, I still don't know what I really want in my career life. Most probably, you'll see me job hopping. Or maybe, I would find something I like while working in Vocare Media. Well, that is just maybe.

You see, even this trivia matter would lead me into thinking of so many things which lead me to be quite unhappy. It's depressing seriously, in not having any goals in life. Not even one, is saddening. And so, I'm sitting right in front of my laptop at such late hours, listening to S.H.E's newest album blasting off loudly through my earphone, thinking hard of what I really want to achieve in life.

I understand of how much Baby wants me to find the goal in my life. Get a job that I really like and be happy. I know, because I wanted her to be in the same way as well. I understand that she wants me to share her achievement near her, and not seeing her achieve it from afar. As in when I'm not having any goals, yet share the joy in her achievement.

I do thought of opening my own studio, like 10 years down the road. But at times, I think it's impossible. Because, having a studio of my own, what I want to do? Videography? Photography? And in what areas? Wedding? Corporate? And I have to think of the huge capital that I have to invest in.

So for the current time, I'll be sitting down and thinking of my goals in life. Whatever it is, I'm going to enroll into Radio Academy in the near future, to try out and learn more about radio DJ's life before thinking if that's what I really want.

I may not have my goals set, but I do have the rough idea of what I want. Just give me time to sort my thinking out, and I'll have the answer in no time.

Tubby might be pregnant

Last Saturday, we mated Simba and the girls together. And Micky suspect Tubby is pregnant. It might be false alarm, but it's better to be prepared then nothing right? And so, we might be getting a bigger tub or a new cage for the coming babies, when they're born in that sense.

Sometimes, I find myself kind of stupid. Stupid in that sense that I got angry or upset over small matters. Like when Baby didn't had time to talk to me or accompany me. Like when Baby disappear without telling me. Like when there's nothing to get angry or upset with.

And so, I began to do some self reflection, and yes I have to apologised. Don't worry, Baby and me is back to the usual loving couple.

But when I quarreled or argued with my family members, I don't find it stupid. Because I did it with reason. The balcony has started piling up with my things. And of course my parents aren't happy about it. But what to do?

Firstly, I don't have a room of my own, which I can called it [my room] like many did. I only owned a bed, and a cupboard in my room. Yes, pathetic I know. I don't even have a table or chair in the room to study or to do my work. I don't even get to use the phone that was in my room. I have to use the living room.

Pathetic, I know. But what to do? I mean, since I had my laptop, I'm chased out with my room. My parents got rid of the long long table we had to save space. My sister took the opportunity to get herself a new set of table from IKea, with a chair to go with it. And there's completely no place for my so called table after that. And so, I'm left with the table outside to used.

And now, my things are ready to be thrown out without my permission. Yes, that's how my sister treat me. Like Baby had once mentioned, sometimes she's good, but sometimes she isn't.

Anyway, I'm not going to follow my sister's footsteps in spending money. I shall plan well for how I would be using my money. I'll keep a portion for transportation and daily expenses, a portion for savings, another for parents and another for education.

Updates

Here's a small update of my life.

• Feeling vexed yesterday, because of what had been going on. Waiting at the lobby for more than hour has left both Baby and me unhappy. (We're running errands for my sis-in-law.)
• Got a few more food for the kids, which left both our wallets to be almost empty. But it's worth it, because I can tell, we're a happy family.
• Visited Hersheys yesterday. And yes, I finally got to walk her when we're off to the nearby clinic. Baby was sick, and called in on MC for one day.
• Hadn't started work, because the boss or the coordinator of the company has yet to contact me. So I'm rotting at home thinking if I should find more better job.
• I felt like drawing, but I've no inspiration to. Where's all my artistic cells went to? I want to draw! Cartoon, realistic, whatever it can be.
• Loke didn't reply me AT ALL. All that I've received from her was a short sms on the diary products that China had produced. You know, the diary things that has been going on lately? Yes, I bought 2 carton of HL Milk, and my sister got worried. No worries, it's safe, as it made in Malaysia.
• Been taking care of my health. Baby didn't allow me to kiss her on the lips, because she doesn't want me to get the germs. She has learnt her lesson, she said. She did also mentioned that once I'm sick, it would take quite a long time for me to recover. Well, only once. The rest of the time when I'm sick, I does have a speedy recovery.
• Finally caught [Step Up 2] at Baby's place yesterday. I quite like the show. :D
• Although Baby was fierce towards me after she had sent me home, everything was fine. We're both fine. I'm not angry, she's not angry. :D
• Baby's parking skills wasn't in good shape yesterday. As the car was VERY slanted yesterday. And the last parking she had to do when I'm around, she was determined to park it straight. *laughs* And she really did. But she did erm, hit into the curb once or twice. Not the first time.
• I didn't had to wait very long to be driven around by Baby. Before we're together as an item, I said I wanted to sit in the car that she drives. She told me to wait. A month or two later, I'm in the car that she drove. *happy*
• I saw two guys on a baby pink bike. Baby said they might be gay. But after seeing that the guys aren't hugging or anything, she said maybe they're not gay. As we moved on, we came towards a junction, where I seen a big group of motorcyclist. Baby said she can't see, and told me not to say anything because she'll be distracted when driving. Oops.
• Baby and I had yet to get S.H.E new album.
• Evil sister knew I wasn't in good mood like say, don't know when. She went on telling me to hit small people. You know, those kind that chinese do at the temple, with a piece of paper in a shape of a man? And you'll start wacking the paper man and curse whatever you want.
• Graduation Ceremony is drawing near. I don't really care who is going anymore. If Loke is there, I shall not take a picture with her, because she still owe me my video. Humph.

Step Up 2: The Streets

Finally, I've watched Step Up 2: The Streets with Baby yesterday. I would say, I quite like the movie.

Meaning, I don't really dislike the movie, neither do I really like the movie. I quite like the movie, because it's something on dance, one of the thing I'm interested in. Yes, Micky has a dance history of her own since young. Since I don't look like the kind that has martial arts background, maybe I do look like the kind that has a dance background. OK, do I?

Anyway, I won't go much into the story plot, in case some of my friends has yet to watched it. But, it was one of the movies I would recommend. So far, of all the movies I've watched, not all of them I dislike, except for P.S. I Love You. Because it's so much different from the story I've read.

I like the part in the movie, where all of the people that came together to learn to dance, as in street dance. They get discriminated by the 401, I think is the group name or something. Because they're dance wasn't that good yet, considering it the first performance they've put up.

And I like the way where they didn't give it up at all, after the female lead got expelled from school. You know, it's something good. They each got an sms, the same message that wrote on where the street competition would be held.

The final dance the movie had, under the rain, I quite like it. As in, some part of the dance was cute and hilarious. Nice~

And yes, you won't be seeing Micky dance. Unless you're her primary/secondary school mate, maybe you've seen her dancing on the school stage before.

Happy Birthday Mum!

It's mum's birthday! Happy Birthday!

Baby was our photographer yesterday. =x Mum didn't want to had her celebration today, but I insist. We had pizza hut and KFC for dinner. In the evening after my walk around Vivo City, I went off back to Compass Point with Baby to collect the cake.

Pictures not available, all are in Baby's Nikon D60. I enjoyed myself, but was a little heartache as Baby was sick. It's OK, I'm down with flu too. =x


They say this is good for the eye. My sister bought it, she says it helps. I stole 2 tablet for Baby to try. And I had 2 tablets myself in 2 days.

It cost around 30+ for one bottle. But if it helps, I wouldn't mind investing my money in this eye supplement.


I say this is nice. I bought it in Malaysia during my trip to Thailand. Sadly to say, I only got myself 1 big packet which I shared among myself and Baby's family. If they do eat that few she brough home.

And I'm dying to eat this again.

Chit Chat

Met up the most evil sister of all at AMK. Had a LONG chat with her. Or rather, I'm listening to her conversation between herself and Baby.

From their friends, to pubbing or clubbing, to Tong's job, to when Yee will be out from camp, to horoscope, to when we'll be free to meet out, to where's my future working place.

Nothing really special in actual fact. And I got to know Evil's palm is made of plastic. If you want to define what's the meaning of plastic, you'll have to ask Baby to explain it to you. At the point of horoscope thing, after Evil had finished her sentence, Baby will ask me one question. For example, is she giving me stress? Have I given the whole of my heart to her?

And and and . . .

Happy hour will soon arrive. *happy* Probably next Friday. Anyone?

Anyway, we'll be celebrating mum's birthday tomorrow. Actual day is this coming Sunday. We'll be bringing her out to eat. Sister will be paying for the meal. Baby has paid for the cake. And my job was to make the payment and order the cake from Jack's Place.

Great News~

I met the boss of Vocare Media today. Everything went absolutely well I would say. I got the job as assistant videographer/editor. I'll be having my on job training next week by starting as a part-time first.

The boss, aka Sam, told me that since I've to start everything from scratch, he'll give me a try as a part-timer first. And he or the other staff would be teaching me on editing. *happy* He said that it's a tough job. Might have to work OT, or during the weekends. No worries, he'll give me a day off the following if I were to work during the weekends. So it's like OK with me. And he also did warned me about the pros and cons.

And yes, I'll be sacrificing my time with my precious Baby during the weekend at times. Whatever it is, I'm so going to make my way through towards full-time assistant videographer/editor. And I do hope I'll do a good job and finish everything the boss wanted by the time frame given.

I'll be working at 217 Selegie Road. So Evil Sister, you may find me for bean curd break during the lunch period. *hint hint* And Baby, you can drop by for a visit if I were to work OT.

So here's why I'm picked by the boss:

- He says that I sounded sincere in the job yesterday, but I just merely take it as a chat with Jamie, his assistant I presume.

- He says that I'm one of the 2 - 3 shortlisted candidates he has picked.

- And I say, because I do look that I wanted to learn on editing very very much. And yes, because of my answer saying I'll would prefer to work long term, has assured me a place as well. And because I could think creatively, which also assured me a place.

Here's the people I want to thank:

- God, for always be there with me. I prayed, and he answered my prayers. Thank you father, without you, I won't know how I would pull through.

- Baby, for always giving me good luck kisses for this interview and just plainly listening to my weird questions asked when I'm very nervous.

- BB, my daughter, for giving me good luck wishes and some tips on interview.

- Sia, although you wished me good luck today, but still I have to thank you. :D

- Loke, for not handing over the video I've been pestering her for 3 days. Anyway, without the video, I still make it.

- My family, for giving me the pressure of getting a job. =.=

- SGSS sisters, although only Yan Ling wished me luck, I know Cheng would wished me luck as well if she knew I would be having my interview.

- Vocare Media, for giving me this wonderful experience ahead. :D

What A Friend

I think that after 6 years of friendship, I should just end it. I should have learnt my lesson, but I guess I didn't. I have been telling me that Loke is not bad and it just that people just dislike her in many ways. I didn't bother to look at her bad points, instead I look at it on a brighter side.

After 5 years of secondary school life, I've seen the life she's leading. Changing boyfriend every month or week like as though she's changing clothes. Seeing her getting intro trouble and didn't really bother about schoolwork. And she's proud of herself for the grades she had.

Although she shared with me about Catholic and Christian's life together with Hazel. I thought maybe with God's help I would just get through that 5 years of friendship. But I thought wrong after all that I have gone through.

Since Monday afternoon, this idiotic girl totally ignored my sms-es. And so, I have yet to get the video on hand. It's just something in me that told me to give her another chance time after time after all those disappointment she gave me and my friends. Because what I've learnt was forgive and forget. I did that, but not now I guess.

Whatever that is, I would try to get my hands on the video. Baby says Loke is selfcentred. Tong says Loke is hopeless. My biological sister says Loke is selfish. Micky says, I won't want such a friend anymore. =x

Interview yesterday has went well. I won't say I made it, and I would try not to have my hopes high. I'll be meeting the boss later at 4pm for a chat I suppose. My graduation project, the video, the written work and the presentation slides are with them. So, just hope that with this I could get the job even without the other video that I had done with the group.

And if I got the job, I would just save my way towards degree. I know how much it means for Baby to see me getting a degree and move forward in my career and life. And yes, I want to earn more so that I can have an engagement party in the future. Just a few would be invited because I don't want the whole place turn upside down. *smile* Baby, you've promised me to have an engagement party, no backing out. =x

And how nice. I have to re-do my portfolio to make it even better. Which Baby insist I did since I didn't get that stupid video in hand. So after my interview, I shall pester Loke everyday for the video whether she likes it or not. I'm desperate to get that video in hand.

Happy Mid-Autumn to everyone!

This year, it's quite a different from the past few years. No lantern was hung at home! Because, we can't remember where they are in actual fact. And I didn't bother to get myself a new one either. How nice~

Mooncake was the least thing I wish to eat now. Kind of sick and tired of eating it, except for the snow skin mooncake. I like the ones from Pine Garden, which was located at AMK. The skin is soft, and the taste of the pandan wasn't that strong to me. I kind of like it.

Anyway, it's a day worth celebrating too! Loke called, saying she managed to get the video we did previously! And yes, I'm taking one of the CD down to get it burned for my upcoming interview. I wouldn't say where and when I'm having my interview. Whatever it is, just wish me luck will do. And hope they'll hire me due to me, being good in communication skills. =.=

As part of their publicity schedule, SHE visited “Shen Qiu Hua Life-show”. Host Shen Qiu Hua was curious how the trio never had any rumours of breaking up in the past 7 years. 据今日新闻报道，睽违一年，SHE终于要发新专辑，但却有歌迷在官网上发言大表失望，不满新专辑将收录SHE和飞轮海合唱的歌曲《酸甜》，直指这首歌像儿歌，还有歌迷激烈地发起拒买活动。

Ella看到歌迷的留言，认为歌迷只看到片面就乱批评，让她十分难过，甚至说出“不买也没关系”，不过该篇情绪性发言已遭删除。

SHE的歌迷在官网上表示，认为SHE与飞轮海合唱的《酸甜》不适合放在新专辑里，并质疑有其他歌曲能放，为何偏偏要放这首？

Ella当晚拍完MV回家后，上网看到该篇留言，十分难过，于是留言回应表示，《酸甜》这首歌的合声是她想的，让她很有成就感，没想到歌迷还没听到就否定，等于否定她们为新专辑的努力，才因此发脾气，说出“如果不喜欢这张专辑可以不要买，没关系”的重话。

华研音乐则表示，SHE的新专辑收录11首全新歌曲，而《酸甜》是加送的，并强调SHE很认真筹备新专辑，希望粉丝能了解SHE的用心。

Welcome a new member to the family

I was on my way over to Baby's place two nights ago. As I walked down the stairs, I saw this cute little kitty looking at me innocently. I stopped by, and it started meowing at me. It came near me, and started to brush against me like any cat does. Can't get the full view, because it just wouldn't stay still.


Baby was this nerd yesterday. Her spectacles wasn't in good condition, and thus she had to get this pair. Baby! You have to get a new pair as soon as possible OK?


My Baby was this pretty and happy after we have collected our new son, which we have yet to name him. This is the person I fell in love with. *dreaming*


Our new son, the previous owner named him Butter. And I think we're going to change his name into something we both like.

People, let's welcome him to the Soh-Lee Family. :D
And yes, in a few months time, we'll be expecting a new litter into the family. Nope, not for sale. Most probably up for adoption, or to the pet shop to exchange for food. :D


Although he's noisy and naughty at times, this is how much I wish he'll always be. Yes, he may be naughty and noisy, but he still needs someone to shower him some love. He loves to cuddle and sleep in this manner recently when he's tired.

He's almost botak now, and my sister said to enjoy before he became all smelly again due to his usual habit of walking over his poo or pee. Or whatever he does as his hobby. =.=

KBox Session

Got an unexpected call from Tong, headed off to Compass Point after shoo-ing the dog from my slipper. Chatted with her and Yee for quite some time. It's good to know they're doing fine, and they're still the same except for Tong's life. =.=

And I told Lei about the meeting with the two girls mentioned above, she began her usual saying of why I didn't ask her down. Well, we're in SengKang, I doubt she'll come over. Instead, she'll be saying we can go over to Woodlands. =.=

Dinner = Atrocious

Dinner with Baby was something I would always be looking forward to. But the problem is, what to have for dinner is always the thing that would made the both of us having a nice headache.

And by walking casually around AMK, the area where Baby lived, I thought of trying the chicken chop that Spot Kitchen has to offer. Although the whole place was kind of quiet and not much customer, we both still went in.

Thinking that maybe the food would taste nice. However, it was different from what I've thought. I would still think that the chicken chop my school offers was much better. Seriously, the food was edible but the taste wasn't great.

The thing I didn't really like was the lamp chop. And yes, Baby has forgotten that I don't take mutton. =.= How nice. And the taste just stuck at my mouth for a few minutes, causing me having to drink more of the lime juice we've ordered.

In the end, we both kind of disappointed and regretted in having dinner there.

What was best was, I get to have two slices of cake at the end of the day. One Lychee Martini, and another Soft Chocolate. Yum Yum. Baby bought herself one small snow skin pandan mooncake. I would say, the skin of the mooncake is soft, I like.

So I shall request to Baby, the mooncake I want next year have to be soft snow skin mooncake. :D

If there's one thing that we, as human being, have to regret, that would be me flaring up. I didn't mean to, but it always did. I tried not to, but I failed. Things always turned out the way I didn't expect it to be. Hearts were broken, unhappiness took over.
