I Wish . . .

Sometimes I wished that I was born in a rich family. Not so rich, but just rich enough to send me off to study for a degree instead of having me to worry about saving up like now.

I have always counted myself as lucky to have almost everything I wanted since young. I want a bicycle, my parents got me one. I want a skate scooter, they got me want. I want a laptop, they source out to get me one. But then, now it's a two different story. I need to save up to get what I wanted.

I know now that I am working and that it is appropriate for me to save up my pay. But with a pathetic less than a thousand pay that I brought home isn't enough after calculating for the transportation, food, bills and saving. I am left with peanuts to use it as my own allowance to spend on whatever I want.

Yes, I am ranting about my low pay and ranting about how I need to save like mad to attend a course that I want.
Yes, I am ranting because I am jealous of the wife. She gets to go traveling around the world whereas me, I have been persuading my parents to at least go to other country instead of the usual Thailand trip. But no, they don't want. Sickening isn't it? I want to travel and see the whole world myself instead of watching from the TV screen. Urgh.

Now that I find myself not as lucky as I thought I am. I am just slightly more fortunate to have certain things that I want and where my parents gave them to me.

And now that the wife had her lasik, I am quite tempted to do too. But looking at the price of the medical fee for it, I think it'll take me half of my life to save up for it. So two words, forget it. I'll stick to wearing a spectacle instead. Speaking of which, I need to get a replacement for my spectacle. =.=

See, I need to spend again on things I needed.

Retail Therapy

I did a slight retail therapy for this month. One is something I really need and that I think it's worth the money. Two, it's something for my dearest. =D

As my Puma (fake) bag, the hole is enlarging and I am not sure when it will spoil entirely and more holes could be found, I have decided to get myself the Nike bag that I have set my eyes upon 2months ago. I did consider whether or not should I get it before buying. Since there's 20% (I think) off, I just went ahead. Plus it's cheaper than North Point compared to the price if I didn't remember wrongly.

Another is for my dearest wife. Feeling guilty that I can't bring her out for good food or pamper her much now since I'm working 6 days a week. And that since to me, September is nearing, I decided to get her a gift off the shelves at the store opposite my work place. =D It's on discount too, that's why I bought it. If not, I'll never consider getting it. =D

See, retail therapy.

I go for the discount. No discount no buy. =D

Question

I have something on my mind and I just want to ask.

  • If you have a puppy and after bringing to the vet you know that it has a weak heart, plus overall he's a weak dog. Will you choose to give him up for adoption? Or continue looking after him for the rest of your life?
Just curious.
Reply via comments or at the shoutbox with your answers and reason.
But if you don't wish to share, it's OK. It's just a thought I had recently. =D

Outings. =D

Photobucket Last Friday night, had durian session with the girls. We meet up at AMK Hub before setting off. The wife is bringing us to eat good durian as promised to me a long long time ago. =D We had 717 durian at around Kovan area. Quite near to Serangoon Stadium/swimming complex.

Had 4 durians and the total damage was $40. It's worth the price. So far, it's the nicest durian I had since young. I am not a fan of durian, but I just had this sudden craving for durians and so there we were enjoying the nice durian.

Anyway, after durian session, we girls didn't know where to go and Jun just drove all the way up towards Punggol End. We had a nice short moment of enjoying the breeze and walking along the shore. We saw someone who caught a sotong up. =D It still can move and slowly changing color as it's dying.

Photobucket In the end, we ended up opposite Bishan's Salvation Army for prawn fishing session. A short 3 hours. =D

They were busy putting the bait, waiting for prawn and getting the prawn off the hook. As for me, I am sitting down busy eating satay that I bought for us. Yummy~
No choice, I'm hungry. =D

Photobucket The wife caught the smallest prawn that night. However, this small little one escaped back to the pond when we placed it in the basket. =(

It was too small thus when we saw that the float had sunk and came up again, we thought the prawn had escaped. Little did we know we managed to get a small prawn.

Photobucket My wife also caught the biggest prawn that night. =D

Photobucket We went over to a friend's place for BBQ. And I will say, the beef cooked by Bear Bear (a nickname they gave him I guess) was nice. =D Overall, I like my sausage, crab stick and the beef. =D

Ranger finally wants me to pat him. After so long. =.=

My Fracture Experience =D

Remember that I blogged sometime last month that I had a fracture and had a cast on? Today I am going to write on my experience during my fracture days.

Getting a fracture was not what I asked for. And I dread those days where I can't move much and had to use the crutches. Best of all, I can't go anywhere without help. The first day where I had my fracture, I went to the polyclinic which then referred to me to the hospital. During that day, the pain got unbearable as the time passed and I had to rely on the pain killers. As much as I don't want to, I need to rely on the crutches to moved around too.

During my next visit for the bone specialist at the hospital, after an x-ray, I had a cast on. The feeling of having a cast on for the first day was, hmm . . . Not bad, at least it feels quite comfortable than I thought. But then, the left leg was quite heavy than the right. And when it starts to itch at night, it's unbearable.

I had to have the cast on for roughly 3 weeks and I am quite looking forward to having the cast off because I can't wait to walk. But during my days with the cast on, I experience a whole new experience I never had before.

It is actually quite difficult to move around for people who have to use the crutches for life. Having a wheelchair is somehow a little easier. But then, when moving around Singapore would be another different story. People seeing that you're using the crutches, they won't make way for you. Even when my wife opened the door of the shopping mall for me, students from neighbouring school just walk in as though the door was opened for them. Best part was, they won't let me move first. =.=

And for the bus ride and MRT ride, at least I met some nice soul who give up their seats for people like me. =D But the one particular bus ride I didn't quite enjoy. Knowing that I had a fracture and using crutches, the bus driver didn't really wait for me to be seated before moving the bus. Which makes me having difficulty making my way to the nearest seat available. =.= What if I fall?

Oh and the off cast experience. They had to use this tiny saw thing to cut off that hard cast. Quite ticklish. At first my thought was, will they cut my leg by accident? Thank god, nope. =D

That's roughly my experience with a cast on. And then again, now I will look where I'm going. I don't want to spend another time using that crutches neither do I want to spend hundred over for the medical fee.

May You Rest In Peace

Photobucket To my childhood friend,

Although I know you not that long, but you're still someone I would long to visit and love. You're a special friend with four paws. The one that most probably ignore during my visit at times. My dear friend, you're someone so special that I will remember you as long as I live.

How I wish we were back to those days where I chased to carry you back to the house. Where I walked out and you wouldn't budge when I tug on the leash. You're someone with your own character that you're always feeling irritated when I disturbed you.

Although the time we spent wasn't long, you're still a special friend to me.

Now that you have gone somewhere far away, up to heaven, I hope you will enjoy your time there. No pain, no sickness and carefree. Best of all, you get to chase whatever small animals you like there.

Missing you always.

Your irritating friend,
Micky. =D

Yesterday and Today

Photobucket I went to fetch the wife yesterday. And we're off to have ice cream for the day. Initial plan was to visit Gelare for the waffle ice cream, but sadly, most Gelera have already closed down.

We settled on Tom's Palette that we found randomly online. Lost the way and walked for more than an hour before finding out where the place actually was.

Had the ice cream. 2 flavours in one cup. I am not sure how to describe, but I quite like the chocolate. It's nice. =D

Had dinner nearby. Japanese and Korean restuarant. Had Kimchi chingay set while the wife had salmon bento. =D

Fast forward to today.

Went to Vivo City with my sister to bring Salty for grooming. Waited for more than 3 hours, very tiring. But I'm quite satisfied that my sister is paying for most of the expenses today. =D

Oh, and I prepared fried rice today for the wife and me. =D

My mum cooked though because she is afraid that I will burnt my dinner. And she didn't allow me to put much meat because of the fats content. Plus the coconut milk, because she's afraid my tummy can't take it. =(

Next time, I shall add whatever I want when my mum isn't around. =D

Life

Photobucket Just a random photo that I took recently with a phone camera.

I was thinking of random stuff about life. From what's my purpose in life? To what's ahead of me waiting? To what can I do to improve myself and my way of leading life.

Somehow, I came to a conclusion with nothing.

Come to think of it, I find that I am easily contented. I am happy with the way my life with even with a low paying job. Somehow, I don't mind staying at a shitty company but the people and environment that I am working at have to be OK.

And then that comes to family. The wife is part of my family now. Or rather, we both have started a family of our own. Countless of kids. 0.0

If I have the time, I will introduce my kids here. =D They're all adorable. Somehow there are some that are unnamed, 2 that are rescued and up for adoption. Want to adopt a hamster, feel free to contact me. =D

As I was bathing earlier, I came to a thought that reminded me this.

Life is like a game of chess. One wrong move and you can't retreat.

How interesting.

OK, back to ponder more about my life. =D

Get Well Soon~

Photobucket Doggy, my childhood friend, is currently in hospital.

He's in a critical stage now and the veterinarian said he might not make it tonight. He is bleeding profusely and wouldn't stop. And it all thanks to the veterinarian, Edmund Tan.

He plucked off Doggy's tooth without giving any anesthetic and after plucking out, he didn't stitch back the wound either. He said the tooth is the cause of Doggy's flu that wouldn't recover.

Bullshit!

Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital said there isn't any need to pluck off that tooth. And now this poor dog is in the hospital looking very pitiful. I have yet to visit him though because the owner have not reply my sms yet.

Get well soon Doggy. I'll pray that you'll recover.

Yesterday's Outing

Went out with the wife yesterday to City Hall area. Lots of people wearing red! Because of the NDP09 preview. Sad lahx. I didn't win the tickets or anything. Ignore. I just want to see the fireworks that's all. =D

We walked around Raffles Place. The wife brought me up to level 3 to get candies for me, and I get to choose! I choose this . . .

Photobucket A box of Wonka Nerds! Haha . . .

Rainbow flavours! And it's worth the price! $5.45 for one big box. The normal box we saw at 7-eleven or those NTUC places sell it at $1+. And one normal box have only 2 flavours. Now I bought such a big box, I have all the mixture of flavors! Woots~

The wife got herself a lollipop which she is quite interested in.

After getting what she needs from a person. We headed off back because I don't want to stay at City Hall area till night time cos I am sure there would be human jam.

Photobucket We had Pizza Hut for dinner. =D My treat!

I ordered the usual, and we waited. We waited for very long before they tell us that it will take a VERY LONG time to be ready and asked if we would like to change to other pasta instead. However, we changed our personal pan pizza to a regular size. And we waited. Then our personal pan pizza came, FOC by the manager because we waited very long. After finishing the personal pan, we waited for our regular pan. Then the manager served us a plate of harshbrown because our pizza just went into the oven.

Can I say the service there was good although I spent like about 2 hours there?

People, if you want a good service from Pizza Hut, Compass Point is so far the best one I have been to. So much better than Genting one. But then again, I don't mind visiting Genting's pizza hut again because of the price. Relatively CHEAP!

Photobucket I caught my wife drinking sugar syrup right off that thing. And she got a little sugar high of course. =.=

That was meant for my lemon tea, but she said it was nice and she keep sipping that sugar syrup as and when she could.

Photobucket Walked around Cold Storage and the wife said to me, "Remember this brand of strawberry jam. It's my favourite."

OK, noted.

Photobucket Anyway people, I am currently reading this at a very slow pace.

I got to know that Chinese books isn't my type. I predict I will finish this book next year August.

Genting (25 July 09 to 28 July 09)

Photobucket I went to Genting with my friends and wife on 25 July 2009. Night bus at 11pm. Meet them up at Beach Road, Golden Mile Complex at 10:30pm. As previously I have tweeted and wrote on Facebook that I am looking forward to this trip, and as I was there, I got really quite excited.

We reached there early in the morning. The air was cold. We had KFC for breakfast and the porridge isn't nice. =( Wasted the money. At 7:30am, we took the cable car ride down towards Awana, because the wife and I wanted to visit the 10 Animal Kingdom or something.

Photobucket Apparently we reached there too early. The 10 Animal Kingdom wasn't open yet and we walked around aimlessly. When the time arrived for the place to be opened, we bought our tickets. And then . . .

WE SAW THIS CUTE LITTLE FELLOW!

We started taking pictures of it and the wife tried holding it. I don't have the nicest photo of the wife holding this cute little porcupine, and so I shall only post this picture.

We do take photos of another animal that was at the counter. A small 2 month old baby. =D Super cute can! And the snake nearby gives me the shudder. The scaly skins. Eeekkk . . .

I quite enjoyed my trip, although the animals condition wasn't good. =(

The wife and friends did went to casino, Jun and Yen Fen took turns to babysit me because I am underage. I told them let's go again next year, because I am of age and no one needs to babysit me anymore. =D

Photobucket Had a try of archery. It was fun! But sadly to say my aiming wasn't good and that I got a huge blue black after the whole game. =(

Photobucket We went to the Theme park on the second day. We bought indoor and outdoor theme park tickets. First ride for the outdoor theme park was this pedaling boat thing. But we only just begun when it started drizzling and thus we headed back to shore. And we took other rides that doesn't affect us. =D

And when the weather says OK, we headed off towards for the more thrilling rides. Being timid, I didn't really want to try much rides. But I gave the OK sign for the pirate ship which I got a jelly leg after the whole ride. The wife had to support me down the ship instead. Haha . . .

Photobucket The wife had a try for the spaceshot or whatever you call. Very scary! I admit that I was a little worried for the wife after hearing the story Jun and her friends told us. I watched from below with a worried look. But then, the wife enjoys the ride. She say I should try during my next trip and I don't have to be scared of the height. OK, you tell me how to? I have phobia in heights. T.T

Photobucket We had some slow soothing rides. We took this pictures after the dinosaur ride. Boring~

Then we went to this ride that we called the 'washing machine'. Boring~

Oh, my most favourite part of the theme park is the bumper car aka pong pong car. =D
I like it so much that I insist to play before going off to bed. =D And my next trip, I want to play pong pong car again! Hehe . . .

Photobucket We played the arcade for a while before heading off for the Harry Potter movie. Jun and I managed to get that many tickets after playing the basketball. Sadly to say, our 51 tickets can't change to something more useful than sticker and thus we gave it to some random stranger.

Photobucket We do have some random shots like this where someone says "Cheese~" and we'd turn around to pose immediately. Damn comical.

Photobucket Hello Shorty~

We visited Ripley's Believe it or Not!
And . . .

My fracture foot was in pain during the tour because the museum damn big and the standing and walking causes it to be in pain.

Note: The fracture have not fully recover yet.

We learned some things. And the one that caught our interest was the fertility statue. We asked Jun to touch it to see whether the fertility thing is true or not. So sad, she doesn't want to touch. =(

No baby to carry. =x

We took some photos but not much. Wait till I have a camera of my own, and that we went back to Genting, I'll take lots of photos back to post.

Photobucket The books are falling! Help~

Photobucket Played and ate a lot before returning. =D

Oh, and the pizza hut there was cheap but the service sucks.

It's 2:32am, time for bed.

P.S. I know my editing of photo sucks. But give me some time. I am still learning. =D

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/11/28/article-1090292-02A09FD4000005DC-534_634x459.jpg I've watched the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at Genting. And I have loads of questions.

1. How come Ginny is taller than Harry?
2. How come the movie didn't tell us why Professor Snape is the half blood prince?
3. I thought during the scene when Professor Dumbledore died, Harry was supposed to be stunned and not being able to move?

Anyway, the movie was OK. Not my favourite among the Harry Potter series. So far, the best one that I like was Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix. Because Daniel Radcliffe acted well during the scene where Sirius Black was killed.

Anyway, back to half blood prince.

I like the movie when they showed me Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy. Other than that, the movie was OK.

There's some hilarious scene, and one part where I know something will grab Harry, my wife scare me. I knew the thing will appear, but the wife's grabbed scare me.

Actually I don't mind watching it again for the Tom Felton scene. *grins*
