20th Birthday

*Picture-less Entry*

Last Saturday, I can say that I had a really great time. I woke up early, bathe and prepared myself while I waited for the wife's arrival. She brought Pebbles home the other night, and she came back with a tired looking daughter of ours. We slacked a while before we prepare to get ourselves out of the house.

Went to our usual dating place to catch a movie. But to our great disappointment, the earliest slots of the choice of movies were full. In the end, we took the 4:20pm slot on the movie called, Slumdog Millionaire.

Since it was at 4:20pm, we went for lunch and a little shopping at Daiso. Had lunch at Pizza hut. Delicious I would say, although I ordered the same thing whenever I visited the place. Their lasagna was awesome although Thailand's portion of cheese was much more than Singapore's, but still it was delicious. Yummy Yum Yum. The wife had baked rice, quite nice too although I don't like the capsicum.

We went off to Daiso afterward to get the pink hamhead that we saw a post on Singapore Hamster forum the night before. I have always wanted a pink hamhead for my daughters, and so I took two. I think my hamheads is quite a many that Simba had two hamheads now instead of one. Got one pink hamhead and a pink food bowl for Jas.

Loiter around the Cinema level, got myself a lovely cute hat at the cosplay shop. I wore it because the wife says if I want it, I have to wear it. And so despite the embrassment, I wore that cute little hat. After getting it, we realized we were late by 10minutes. Good thing that there is always commercial before the movie starts.

Dinner at Chomp Chomp was good. I like the food, except that the sotong was quite spicy. But overall delicious. I suck at describing and giving food review, so I shall skip this. Let's proceed to after dinner.

Cheryl brought us to this doggy cafe, which don't look like in the first place. From what I heard, they've changed their interior. But never mind. I had this apple thing of drink. Not sour enough to my tastebud, but quite nice. Jun, Cheryl and Lei had a jug of beer. oOo . . .

We had a little chat at the sort of doggy cafe. Not bad. The breeze was cooling. Took cab home after that because the last bus is already not in operation. It cost me $9.90 from Chomp Chomp to my house. I thought it will cost more than $10 though. But well, it's the cheapest cab fare I've ever had during midnight hour. Haha . . .

I didn't get drunk that night because the wife forbids me to drink. So people, no unglam photos of me for you. Muahaha . . .
You have to wait for next year though if it ever happens.

Slumdog Millionaire

http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/Previews/Slumdog-Millionaire-f04.jpg Slumdog Millionaire is not your ordinary hindu film. To put it across, it isn't the kind you would see it on Vasantham Central. Slumdog Millionaire is a movie that depicts the lives in India somehow.

They showed places we might not be able to see in our own country, like how it is like to be living in a slum and how children in India survives without their parents. It is something we don't see in Singapore.

The whole movie is about how Jamal who grew up with his brother and his childhood love, Latika. The three of them became orphans after a fight broke out in their hometown. There they learned to seek shelter and to fend for themselves. Right at the moment when they were living by themselves at rubbish dump, a man approached them who they thought were their saint. But they were wrong.

Years went by, Jamal took part in Who Wants to be a Millionaire, hoping Latika would be watching it. As he knew every answer to the questions, they thought he was cheating and thus got caught by the police before returning to answer the last question in the game.

The movie plot was good. And it won 13 awards in the Oscars if I am not wrong. The whole movie was worth to watch although I almost slept in the middle of it because I am a little tired for not having enough rest the previous night.

They do not have the sundden singing and dancing in the middle of the movie. Which is something new in a show about India. They put the dancing at the end of the movie, which gives a little entertainment factor.

Birthday Celebration with Family

Was supposed to celebrate my birthday with the family on Friday night, but because the wife is busy washing Simba's and Pebbles' tanks that the celebration was long forgotten by me. The best part was, one of the tank broke, and poor Pebbles have to downgrade to living in a cage instead. But at least she's enjoying herself. (Dear, not blaming you about the tank. :D)

Then my mum asked me to be home early yesterday for a mini celebration. But I would be home late, thus canceled again. But . . .

We had it today!

The wife came over after her housework at home. She accompanied me for a few hours. Hugging me to sleep is something I love so much. It's better than hugging my pillows. =x Mini photo taking session time!

[21.2.09] S.H.E's Hebe to release solo album

Source: China Times
Translation: Sarah @ http://asianfanatics.net Please credit this source if you transferred elsewhere

S.H.E have revealed that Hebe will release a solo album! According to this week's , S.H.E's recording company HIM is intending on letting Hebe release her own album. Before the new year, many lyricists and composers received invitations from HIM to help Hebe collect songs and towards this, HIM confirmed: "We will help each of them do some planning, they will fly solo but won't disband."

According to staff members who have worked with S.H.E, they said that the three girls each have their own strengths; Selina is sweet, Ella is neutral and Hebe is the best singer. The producers will always arrange for her to sing the most difficult parts in each song.

Yuan Wei Jen from has watched the girls grow up and 4 years ago, said that Hebe will be the first one to fly solo from S.H.E. Now, he still holds the same view: "Whether it is singing skills, sound quality, she is the one with the most personal characteristics, she is also a very hard-working singer." As for whether he has received a song invitation from HIM? He is unable to reveal, due to commercial
confidentiality.

[20.2.09]Formed together for 8 years, SHE has rumours of disbanding...

S.H.E Rumored to Disband after Eight Years
Hebe Ready to Release Solo Album
[2009.02.20]

It had been eight years since the formation of female top group S.H.E. Not only did the trio has brilliant success in the music world, they also achieved good results when they crossed over to the realms of drama and hosting. Although from time to time, there would be rumors of disbanding but the rumors were always firmly denied by them. However, recently there had been reports claiming that HIM Records was planning to produce a specially tailored album for Hebe and currently it was already at the song collecting stage. It seemed that S.H.E would not be able to avoid the fate of each going her own way.

In the eight years since they entered showbiz, each of S.H.E’s albums had beautiful results on the charts. The three of them were also very brave in meeting the challenges of the different realms. Selina had become the best candidate to be substitute host whenever a female host had to take maternal leave. Other than substitute hosting for Xiao S in Kang Xi Lai Le, right now she was also temporary taken over the hosting duties of Matilda Tao in [College Students, Are You Ready?] Ella crossing over into the drama circle was just as brilliant. After her first attempt in [The Rose], she also received high praises when she collaborated with Wu Chun in [Hana-Kimi]. Hebe also took on the challenge of acting in [Bull Fighting] and even penned the lyrics for a song in its OST.

From understanding, S.H.E was close in age and had similar entry into showbiz. Thus the three became such close friends that no topic would be off limits. Not only would they exchange private thoughts and feelings, they were also each other’s emotional support. Two years ago, an EP was released by Ella in remembrance of her deceased pet [Qiang Qiang] with all the proceeds donated to the Shelter for Homeless Animals. Ella was deeply touched when Selina and Hebe attended the event. The sister-like relationship between the three was truly touching.

The relationship of Selina, Hebe and Ella was so solid that even if one of them had an occasional solo project, it still would not conflict with their singing career. There was never any hint of competitiveness between them. However according to an article in [China Times Weekly], HIM Records had already started to collect song for Hebe since before the Lunar New Year and thus the news of Hebe going solo. Yuan Wei-Ren, the record producer for S.H.E in the early days when they first started, expressed: [Hebe is the first one from S.H.E that can go solo.] To this day, Yuan Wei-Ren still maintained his opinion that out of the three, Hebe was still the singer with the most unique quality.

In an online discussion thread started by netizens [If S.H.E go solo, which one would you support?], Hebe had a slight lead in votes currently. The reason was that she was pretty and had the best singing ability but there were also many fans who voted against in hopes of S.H.E never to disband. However, if Hebe was truly going solo, then she would be the first member of the three to release an independent album of her own. In that case, S.H.E who had always emphasized that they would not disband, in the end, still would face the destiny of each going her own way. To this, HIM Records frankly admitted that [they have different plans for each of them] but fans could rest assured that the spirit of [going solo without disbanding] would still be maintained.

[21.2.09]Yoga Lin performs in Singapore for the first time

Yoga Lin’s First Concert in Singapore
S.H.E Came to Snatch Away Fans
[2009.02.21]

Yoga Lin held his Trick concert in the Singapore Indoors Stadium last night and ended his concert tour on a successful note with 7000 fans.

Last night, Yoga was in great form, from sing songs such as [The Gaze], [Sorry, Thank you], [Laying in Your Closet] to 1980, 1990 golden oldies like [Green Apple Orchard], [Not Every Love Affair Has Beautiful Memories] and [Loving You Never Stop]. The fans’ excitement kept climbing in time with Yoga’s every movement.

The appearance of one of his guest performers, S.H.E, pushed the excitement of the concert to a climax. S.H.E’s popularity and reputation of being a Heavenly Group made Yoga admitted frankly: [There had never been any guest that can make me as nervous as this. I know that many people came today are here to see them.]

After performing [Miss Universe] and [I Love Trouble], Ella issued a challenge to her junior: [You know why we would come and be your guest performers? Because we know that Yoga has a lot of fans. We are here to snatch them away!] In order to avoid any internal strife, Selina immediately said: [Don’t use the word snatch. We are here to give everyone another choice.]

Not to show any weakness, Yoga retorted: [Thank you very much to S.H.E but I will show my best to secure my fans!] and brought everyone to laughter.

Although S.H.E issued a challenge, but in the next turn when they sang [Super Star] with him, Selina and Ella started to “tempt” Yoga. Originally Selina wanted to sexily entice Yoga by hooking her hand around him but perhaps because she caught Yoga’s stiff expression, she could not refrain from laughing and almost was not able to continue singing. Ella lifted up one of her beautiful leg in front of Yoga, although she did not end up laughing, but the effect was more funny than sexy.

The other guest performer Olivia Ong sang one of her own song as well as a duet with Yoga and received warm applause from his fans.

The concert finally ended after two encores.

From Start to End
Endless Thanks from Yoga

Although he sang the Aaron Kwok classic [Loving You Never Stop] in the concert, but perhaps the song he wanted to sing was [Thanking You Never Stop].

From the start of the concert to the end, Yoga thanked his fans and the musicians no less than ten times. Near the end, other than giving thanks, he also gave a 90 degree bow and demonstrated to his deep appreciation towards his fans.

Before the concert started, through a VCR, Yoga had described his love and confusion towards music. During the concert, he also mentioned several times about his “unease”, [I often worry that people don’t know what I am talking about….I will try hard….]

However the enthusiasm of the fans last night deeply touched him: [Thank you for everyone’s support. This is all support from the heart, I can feel it.]

Concert Tour Ended
Yoga Lin: Very Satisfied!

The Singapore concert was the last stop of the Trick Concert Tour. After the concert, Yoga expressed that ending this concert tour on such a successful note in Singapore made him very happy!

When asked if he would miss it, he answered: [No because it was perfect. I did my best to sing today so I feel very satisfied.] The enthusiasm of the fans also touched him, [Actually I really wanted to sing until midnight but I worry that there might be a penalty.]

Yoga revealed that he enjoyed the feeling of jamming with the musicians on stage very much, [In the future when I have more of my own creations, I hope to be able to have more interactions with the musicians.]

One More Day

Yesterday, mum had this conversation with dad about my cousin's girlfriend.

Your sister say Chris' girlfriend is super plain lazy. After dinner, just chuck the dishes aside, went into the room, switch on the aircon and watch the TV.

Then I butt in and say,

Is she a 大小姐?

Then my father replied,

She is 大小姐,you are 二小姐 because you don't have aircon.

OK lohx. Win liao.

Today's interview at Sia's working place. I can't say Sia's company, because firstly, she is not the boss of the company. Secondly, she's working for the company. Anyway, that is how the mouse and prawn get to meet after a year plus of not seeing one another.

Interview was alright.

Is your birthday today? (Nope, it's tomorrow) Happy Birthday! (Thanks)

Ever been to an interview where your interviewee wished you a very happy birthday cheerfully? I did, well, for the first time. And also by a stranger that I do not know. =x

They offered $4.50 for part-time. Then again, they asked how much do I expect, I said $5. Because additional 50cents can cost a lot. That 50cents I can get a lollipop. =x

But whatever. We shall see if they call.
There isn't a high chance for them to say yes for the $5.

Exactly one more day to my birthday. I am expecting the day to be a wonderful day. :d

Dog Show @ Singapore Expo [15 Feb 2009]

I went to the dog show with my sister, Salty and Miho. I was there because I have to look after Miho and to bring her there and back home while my sister carries Salty in his doggy bag. And I don't know why my sister was so fed up that day.

  • While waiting for cab, not much cab. One got taken, and she started hurling vulgarities. A few pass by with the sign busy but none inside, she started hurling vulgarities.
  • Reaching Singapore Expo, Salty got excited upon seeing other dogs. She scolded him.
  • Walking towards open space nearby food court, Salty shit, she started to nag and give the irritated face.
  • She asked for a drink. Asking her what drink she wants, she says anything is fine. I got her a can of coke. She nags.
  • Conclusion, PMS.
Took some photos.

Photobucket Salty, lying down on the floor while we drink our cup of drinks and waiting for sister's friend to arrive.

Photobucket I left her on the seat next to me and she was looking like that for quite some time.

Photobucket Miho look to lost among the crowds.

Photobucket The fierce malamute.

Photobucket Corgi taking part in agility competition. So cute! I like this breed.

Photobucket The gentle malamute.

Aren't all the dogs cute? Although I have only these few pictures, but because I went there quite late, not much dogs to look at. And only these few are the ones I think is nice and I want to share it.

The best part was when we're all paying for the entrance fee, I was holding onto Salty, while Miho was by one of my sister's friend. This Salty boy, he saw the fierce malamute and wanted to approach. And while he approached, the malamute barked and almost charged towards my direction. Being so afraid of big dogs since young which I don't know why, I got a little fright due to the fierce and loud bark. The whole of expo was like looking at my direction. Scary lahx. Stupid Salty, can't he pick somebody of his own size?

Happy Birthday Yan Ling!

http://www.greetmark.com/images/thumbnailitems/Birthday-Wishes/birthday-wishes-1.jpg Happy Birthday to my dearest sister. May all your wishes come true and hopefully you'll miss me more this year. I'm counting. =x

Let's advance to a new beginning together with Cheng.

May God Bless You.

Enjoy your day.

P.S. No present though. Meet again sometime, present exchange. :D

Snow Buddies

http://web.gomovietv.com/img/SnowBuddies.jpg I've watched Snow Buddies a few days ago. To be frank, I quite like it. The gold retriever puppies are super adorable. But still, I like that husky more.

The way they played hide and seek, to the way they ended up at Alaska was super funny. They thought the husky was a huge wolf that is chasing them. Somehow, the husky sort of save them and brought them home.

I like the part where they follow their heart and brave through the race knowing that danger is waiting for them. The movie sort of teaches you teamwork and doing something good by helping others. As well as follow your heart in the things you've set your mind in doing.

Can I watch it again with my dearest wife?

Happy Valentine's Day

http://www.bartelme.at/material/news/HappyValentinesDay.png Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Did you enjoy your day today?

For me, I can say it is a bad one and a happy one. Here's why.

In the middle of the night at around 1plus in the morning, the wife said she is interested to watch [Underworld: Rise of the Lycans]. But the seats she is aiming for at Golden Village has been bought, and Golden Village website doesn't accept debit card payment. And I thought of giving her a surprise when she said we can try our luck today to see if there's any available good seats left. Seeing her so down, I said I want to bathe and rushed down to the nearest AXS machine and got ourself a pair of tickets. Instead to find out she herself have bought a pair at The Cathay to surprise me too. That is how we ended up with 2 pairs of tickets to the same movie. Put that aside.

Jun came over in the morning to collect her cupcakes and I offered to help her choose a present for her boyfriend. In the end, she settled down for shaver. She gave me a box of Merci chocolates. So thoughtful.

Dearie and I had our lunch at Monfort after Jun left to meet her boyfriend I suppose. LavaRocks again. This time we ordered something different. But I don't really like the food I ate today, maybe because I am not really in favour to sour today. Mine is a little sour. But dearie's TOO SOUR. Eek . . .

After lunch, I ordered a can of drink. Dearie walked further up to look at things. She stopped by the bicycle shop we once stopped by before. In the end, she asked me to choose one that I like. Instead of BMX, I choose one that has a speed and front and back suspension. It looks bigger, color is nicer. It has speed and suspensions. Good! The break is awesome.

Photobucket The red bicycle is my birthday present. Isn't it gorgeous? I like it loads although this brand I've never heard of before. I have a free red lock which is handing on my bike as you can see in the picture.

Photobucket I got a free bell that says [I love my bike].

Photobucket Isn't the suspension beautiful?

Photobucket I added this direction light after I got home. The only problem is the break light switch. I don't know where to put it.

Photobucket People, now I have two bikes. The one outside, I'm not going to have it anymore. I'll just get the bell out and put it on the grey bike that I have at home.

We rode home, dearie fetched me. During the journey home, I taught her how to use the break. Haha . . Fun! Can we do it again?

Got home, park the bike, catch some breath, drink some water and we're off towards PS to watch a movie. The extra pair, manage to sell it to Jasmine and her sister. Woots~ It's not a waste after all.

http://z.about.com/d/movies/1/0/9/q/R/underworld3pic2.jpg We watched [Underworld: Rise of the Lycans]. Because of this movie, I had a dream of werewolves and vampires. But then again, the show is nice. OK, maybe I have not the first two episode, so I can only say I like this movie.

It was a battle between the Lycans and the Vampires. Nice~ I like the effect, but the whole movie is in the dark. I have not watch a movie that is so dark before. Only a few sunlight.

What I don't like was the way the way Victor kill her own daughter, Sonia. T.T

OK, I'm not giving much review because I'm tired. But I will say it is a nice movie. You should watch it.

After the movie, we hurried to The Cathay to pass Jasmine and her sister the tickets before we're off to do our own shopping. I got myself a new mug, a remove rust cream. Which I tried a little, quite good but some rust are still there. I shall think of ways for it. Maybe one day I should go back to Daiso to find a suitable head light for my bike.

Went home, while the wife washes the tank for Tubby, I cooked dinner. Macoroni with soup. Yumy! The wife says it is nice and it has been a long time since she last ate the macroni that I cook.

Now I have a new bike, I have the urge to ride it everyday. And and and . . .

I am so going to repair my grey bike's tire. If I got the money, maybe change the break to a better one.

What Happens in Vega

http://content8.flixster.com/photo/11/01/98/11019822_ori.jpg A few weeks ago, I watched [What Happens in Vegas] on my new DVD player with at least 5 mini stereo system. How cool is that? OK, the main point here is that I borrowed my sister's DVD without permission. Who cares.

The show was alright. It didn't show how they got married in Vegas, or how they ended up sharing the same hotel room. It only shows bits and pieces of the party they went to one after another. To wake up finding that they both were married.

The best part was, they won the jackpot and had to be together for 6 months. And they during their 6 months, both tries to set up one another just to win the money they both had won together at Las Vegas.

But as you can see, the ending of the story is predictable.

Not my kind of show. When I watch the trailer, I thought it would be a nice movie. But it came out this way, not the way I expected.

Yummy Yum Yum

Out of the blue, Jun called to ask me out for dinner last evening. I went unexpectedly leaving the wife alone. Board Jun's car when she arrives and headed off towards Gold's workplace. Went to somewhere in Singapore to have nice food.

Abalone porridge.
It is nice. The abalone is thick enough. But then, I don't like the roasted nuts and the a bit of ginger slices. =x

Don't ask me to describe the taste of it. I sucks at giving food review. I only know whether it is nice or not. I can say, it is super nice. Jun's treat, because previously she won Toto. Yippee~ But too bad, I don't buy Toto or 4D. So cannot treat for the time being.

Anyway, after dinner we head off towards AMK to fetch the wife then towards Serangoon North. Managed to bargain for the necessary things. And the best part was, after the wife made a phone call, I lost my balance and almost fall. The wife tries to catch me. In the end, her nice touch screen phone dropped, and the stylus into the drain. =x

Sorry baby, will try not to lose balance again after your phone call. =x

Delivery for all the things that we bought. $210 in total. =x

Dinner at Kovan

Photobucket After my first dinner at home, I got a call from Jun asking me out for dinner. I was thinking why not go for second round since I'm quite hungry a few minutes after I've eaten.

We had this so-called steamboat at Kovan. Yummy! The fish is super fresh. The prawns are super huge.

And when we're about to finish the dinner, Lei scoop lots of vegetables and a few pieces of fish for me. She insist that I should eat more in order to gain weight. Thanks ar, sister.

After dinner, they came over to see Miho. Had a little chat before heading home.

Happy Anniversary

http://beyondwordsscript.com/images/Product-HappyAnniversary.gif If you ask me why I have chosen my wife, I will say it is because of her personality and character. If you ask me what I love about my wife, I will say, everything about her. If you ask me what is love, I will say, tender, loving care. Trust, honesty and warmth. Compromise, understanding and forgiving.

Sometimes it is hard to express one's feeling towards the person they love. And it is the same for me. If a picture could paint a thousand words, I would definitely use them. A picture could depict many stories in our lives, and I have always love to look through the many photos that the wife and I had took together. But the sad thing is, we seldom had our pictures taken to keep as a part of our memory. Thus I have always make it a point that during a special occasion, we either take a picture together, or through the old school way, neoprint. I want the memory of special event in our lives to live forever. Or may be, a kind of way to remember what we once did.

Every anniversary, I will make it a point to wish my dearest, letting her know that our relationship is advancing into another brand new month. And since today is the 8th of February, I am here once again to wish my dearest, Happy Anniversary.

Darling,

Happy Anniversary! Loving you lots. :D

Whiskey Whiskey

Photobucket Jun came over yesterday after her course on Communication Skills. She couldn't stand my table being in a mess, thus she packed for me. Then I realized, the bag of rubbish is still at my place, I've forgotten to take it out to throw when I went out last night.

After dinner at Yoshinoya, we headed off towards Clarke Quay to meet Tong. We didn't know how to make our way to the place where she is at. Met Isabella, Tong's sweetheart. =x Met two Irene(s). Chat with Kson/Ksen or whatever you spell it.

Now, we've met another teacher. We have a primary school teacher, Mae. We have a JC teacher, Kson/Ksen. We have I think two poly teachers, Hui Rong and Annie. How nice. We're short of University and High School teachers.

Jun and I had forgotten to withdraw some money for the night, and thus went off to hunt for ATM machine at Ue Square. We've found the ATM, but there's no money coming out. In the end, Tong had to pay for our drinks first before heading off to Toca Me in Irene's car. 7 seater, how cool is that?

Photobucket We had a cup of Whiskey each except for Tong. Listened to other people singing while Jun and I chat. Then Irene came to sing, nice! Haha . . .

Photobucket The a bit drunk Tong singing. She had don't know how many glass of wine, and two cups of whiskey mix. Nice~

Photobucket And it is easy to know if Micky is a little drunk. Either she sits by herself stoning, or the way she laughs, or as the picture stated.

To speak the truth, part of my speech to Jun last night, was when I am a little tipsy. =x
And so, I have forgotten what I say. Haha . . .

Unhappy

http://www.ferryvd.nl/uploads/images/unhappy/unhappy_nrm.jpg There are many things happening around me. Or rather, not many but one or two. I have always wanted to see the smile and hear the laughter from the wife as much as she wants to hear from me. But I guess for the time being, I won't be seeing the smile nor hearing the laughter. And it all thanks to this bloody fucking irritant.

If the incident didn't happen last May, things wouldn't have been the way it is now. And because of that incident, the wife isn't happy till this date. And whenever she saw this fucking irritant, she's all boiled up with anger.

Now I am in deep thoughts. Thinking if I should take one step further. But then again, I am thinking of the consequences that comes with it. I really wish to destroy this irritant's future, but how?

After all the incident and unhappy event, I have narrowed down my birthday wish this year to only one.

I wish to see the sweet and beautiful smile plastered across the wife's face, and to hear her lovely laughter throughout the year.

Postponed/ Random Updates

http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/family-vacations-holiday-world-2.jpg People, our holiday trip will be postponed because Jun might be off for sailing if she is the luck one for around 44days. The date for our short holiday trip has yet to decide.

----------

Had a hilarious conversation with Cheryl, Evil Sister and the wife. And yes, I have to prepare myself to puke on Evil Sister's face on my 20th birthday. Cheryl is planning to make me drunk with 20 shots. I'm not a good drinker.
