First Day @ Pet Farm

It is my first time walking in to my new work place from the bus stop. Took me around 20 minutes. I take it as a morning exercise.

First day of work was good. Sadly, they don't have a smaller size of tee for me, and so I am wearing a very baggy top. The people there are all wearing crocs, and I am the only one wearing NIKE shoe. =D Then they are rather friendly, and that I like working in this environment for now.

I get to have close contact with many dogs. From rottweiler, to golden retriever and some other breeds. Been selling Eukanuba the whole day. Trying to make progress in selling dog's food and accessories. Been selling small animals products last year at Pet Lovers Centre, now I am trying to catch up and selling dog products.

Carrying 15+ KG of dog food for customer although I am rather a very small size girl. Actually I am the only girl there for today. Next week Nicole is coming! =D

Raining the whole day, so it's quite a very breezy day. =D

I saw many puppies on sale, very tempted to save up and bring one home.

Sick~

Currently I am sick. I have not enough rest due to work. OT almost every day. The thought of working from 9am to 10pm for 3 straight days next week is killing me. =(

Sigh...

In Case You Don't Know . . .

This is currently my new toy. =D

I got myself a new phone on Friday, and I have switched from Singtel service provider to m1 instead. Reason is simple. I can now call Tsuma 24/7 without worrying that my phone bill will explode. =D That's the only thing I am attracted to m1.

So far, the phone is not bad. I have not changed my ring tone yet, still using the default because I have no time to cut short the songs I want as ring tone. =( But anyway, recently I am so called busy because I am doing OT almost everyday. Earning money is not easy.

And I got myself a new pair of spectacles too. I just did yesterday, waiting to collect it. Good news, degree didn't increase anymore. =D And my astig dropped slightly for both eyes. As for the degree, it's either the left or the right had dropped, and either one is still the same. =D Can't wait for my new pair of spectacles because the color is matching with my current phone.

And if you're wondering why I get myself Samsung Omnia Pro B7320, which is like more for business. The reason is simple. I just want to try out a phone with many buttons like a keyboard. It's a mini keyboard! Haha . . .

Still trying to get use to my new phone.

Will update you about myself when I have the time. Currently doing a little of spring cleaning for my kids. =D Can't wait for my next off day.

Work work work

Two male colleagues, I'm getting along with them well. Surprisingly, Hong Ying is the wife's senior. And surprisingly, the wife's 姐妹(s) knows him.

Oh, and Hong Ying is going to give me a small tank if I want to start keeping fishes. *happy*
Work has never been this enjoyable. But still, it sucks.

I don't know how to describe work but whatever that is, I am going to tolerate for one more month. Just one more month. I'm going to look for a new and better job. But before I leave, I am hoping to do what I need to do before leaving.

Anyway, I know what I really really really want in 8 months time. Haha . . .

Customers. Tsk.

Customers are always hard to handle. Except for some. For example this morning, a guy came in to buy Frontline. I did ask about the breed and the weight. He said yes it's the one. OK, I sell it to him. A few minutes later the sister called up and say I'm unprofessional because I sold the wrong thing to the brother.

Firstly, it's a mix shih tzu, so it might weigh 10kg or more.
Secondly, I did ask for the weight and showed him the product to ask if it's the right one. He said yes.
Thirdly, I did make sure, I asked twice he confirmed it.

Then I get a scolding by the sister in the end. Sickening.

Another is a customer that called to ask about moltted winterwhite if we have any or any outlet. She wants the ones from Holland. Then she asked if it's OK to introduce another hamster. I said no and she die die want to introduce. See, what can I do?

Hello!
Hamsters are territorial, I said many times in the conversation and it didn't went into her head. She kept saying last time she had a pair that stay together perfectly. OK lohx. What can I do right?

But I pity the hamsters.

I don't even confirm chop chop knows whether the hamsters are from Holland or not. What if the outlet she bought it from lied to her? Not my problem. Bleahx.

So Much to Do, So Little Time

I have so much to do on my list but there is so little time. Working in retail line will be my last resort in future. And I mean it. I can't take it to have one day off per week because I have so much to do. Basically here's the list:

• Change bedding for the kids.
  
• Refill new food/mix new food for the kids.
• Take extra care for Squeaky.
• Make sure the kids are well fed before and after work.
• Update blog.
• Help out the wife in her MO business.

And the list goes on. Everyday the timing for my shift isn't fix and they bloody hell won't tell you if the schedule has been edited/changed. So you just have to check EVERY SINGLE DAY. Sickening right? I just got to know I am working morning on the Friday and Saturday. =.=

Anyway, retail line is stress too. Here's why from my perspective:

• Make sure you key in the right product.
• Make sure you key in the right amount and right amount of change given.
• Know what's on promotion or on discounts.
• Know what's to give for free for specific items bought.
• Basic knowledge in every perspective area. (I still need to red up more on cats)
• Cycle count gives us a big headache as we need to search for the right item before updating.
• Updating PO can make your eyes goes blur after doing it for a long period of time.

And the list goes on.

I do not have enough sleep last night and thus was a bit blur today. Sigh . . .
I need to buck up. If I want to leave PLC, I need to say goodbye to them before they say goodbye to me. =(

It's Just One Small Little Token

Due to my cough recently, it is just one small step that makes me happy. =D

These sweets are just a small gesture from my customer today. *happy*

Work

I managed to scrap through 3rd week of work even though I took 2 days of MC. =D At least it is an achievement that I didn't give up half way right? And I'm heading to my 4th week.

Just got to know that I need to attend a training by B2K at the warehouse this coming Thursday. And this Thursday is the 28th, which means . . . .

PAY DAY!

Yeah. I am going to first pay my phone bills. Pluck out my wisdom tooth, then the rest is to save. But first, celebrate the wife's birthday. =D
Hopefully I have recovered by then to have swensen. =D

I am enjoying work. Part of me wants to stay until December or for at least a year, another part of me wants to leave after 3 months of work. Dilemma.

Working with Supervisor

I have never thought working with supervisor might be this fun. I have always thought supervisor is the fierce one, the one that always order you to do something. But this supervisor of mine was a complete different.

She is funny, talkative and many more. She tries to teach me whatever I need to know because after Jason leave next month, I will be taking over his place. So I'll see that we're having 3fulltimer and 2 parttimer for the outlet I'm in. The 2 parttimer was called back to work after they quit their fulltime job with PLC is because we're shortage of manpower. So people, PLC only hire fulltimer. If you're thinking of working parttime with us, you can forget about it.

Anyway . . .

I'm sick. *laughs*

Thoughts After A Week's Work

• The whole place is quite cramp and I have to always move a side for customers to walk through. But then I don't know why my colleague, Jason, said that I am avoiding customers like as though they have swine flu. Not very funny. If the place is spacious, I won't be moving a side in the first place. Right people?
• I worked 9hours a day, 1hour of break included. Everyday's journey is via bus. So far so good except I don't really like to do closing. I need to sweep the floors, making sure products are face front etc.
• People there aren't friendly. Well, most place I worked at the people aren't friendly in the first place except during those times I worked at Sunpage which pratically half the coldcalling department are my friends/S.H.E fans. But can I say only Rae is friendly? Since I didn't really talk to the supervisor before since she had many days of MC due to fever, so I can't really give much comment about her friendliness.
• I can claim my Public Holiday, but I can't claim it during the weekends. And I need to claim it during the month of the Public Holiday itself. How sickening. And I can't accumulate my Public Holidays and have one shot of claiming. Oh well, that's how PLC works.
• I can only have one weekend off. I'm off every Monday. So when people are having Monday Blues, I'm having Tuesday Blues.
• So far so good. The standing part was tiring. I tried to absorb as much information as I can and hopefully I didn't give the wrong information to customers. =D
• That's all about it I guess.

Time to prepare for work. Sian . . .

Adopted Kid

People, say hi to my new kid. =D

I got the wife and myself a new kid. I adopted it from a customer that walks in just to ask if we take in hamsters. And seeing that this poor guy here will be left with no home soon, I decided to take him in. Although I shouldn't, but the pet consultant just let me. =x

And because of this little fellow, another friendly customer made friend with me and I have her contacts. Woohoo. =D Can say it's my happiest day at work although the whole day sucks.

The cashier short of $18, and the 3 of us have to pay $6 each to put it back. I see $6 fly off just like that. And the sickening thing is, the male colleague thinks it's my fault since I'm new. He say I might have given the wrong change to customer. =.=
And he suggest to me that try not to touch the cashier during the weekends. OK lohx, newbie always get the blame.

Like what the wife says, tolerate, he's leaving soon. From what I heard he's leaving. And he better does. Humph.

People might be wondering why I took up this low paying job. It's simple. The wife's burden is heavy and I just need that cash. I'm cash deprive. I need cash to get the wife something for her birthday (although I already did, but I feel that it's not enough).

Anyway, wish my next few months with PLC will be a better and enjoyable one. =D

Pregnant Kit

I found when I am having my break yesterday at the Basement 1 toilet. I wonder who is the one that is using this pregnant kit. Hmm . . .

Work was so far good. I enjoyed working with Rae. =D
She's the only one that will talk to me much, but the sad part was she's not working always. I don't think she's a full-timer. Oh well. Guess I have to endure that sickening guy then.

I got really tired last night while working. Think I need to get a new pair of comfortable shoes since part of the soles of the current shoe I am wearing is wearing off. Sigh . . . It will be full 2 years of not buying any new shoes in a few months time. So should I get one? Or maybe I'll ask my wife to lend me some. Weee . . .

Anyway, it's Vesak day today.
Happy Vesak Day. Although it's not a public holiday since it's a Saturday, but hopefully you're all enjoying this day.

Working Life ~

Working life, I'm kind of get used to it except that I am feeling quite tired in the morning. Then when I came home, I just couldn't get to sleep when I'm already on the bed.

People there were friendly, but they didn't really talk to me. But whatever, at least I have learnt quite a many things now compared to the previous internship job that I had. There's some supplier who are quite friendly, while some aren't. And by checking stock, although it looks simple but have to make sure the stocks are in right the right amount.

And then again, for the closing, I'm doing again my most dreaded chore of all time. Sweeping~
The guy which the wife didn't really like say that most newbies learn via sweeping. Ya, whatever. I do the sweeping, they do the calculating of the sales and feeding small animals. So can I consider my task the easiest?

Anyway, I'm working 6 days per week. But I predict and have a feeling that for this week, I'm working 7days straight. So can I say my off day start next week? I'm waiting for the bloody Saturday to arrive. I want to go prawn fishing!

Oh, the food at the nearby coffee shop was nice. I only tried the noodles though. Haha . . .

OK, to the most important thing for the day.
It's the 8th of May, so I want to say . . .

Happy 19th Month Anniversary to my wife!
We're both working adults now, (OK, I admit that I am growing old) we won't be spending much time together like we used to. But I want you to know that I am constantly thinking and missing of you during work. So, I hope you enjoy your days ahead with the daughter you had now at your place.

First Day of Work @ PLC

Work today at 1pm, took a bus there. Woohoo ~

One thing I enjoyed about work today is, when the customer is happy, so am I.
One thing I don't enjoy about work today is, I lost my ez-link card containing roughly $20.
One thing I don't enjoy about work today is, I had to get a replacement of ez-link card because the lost one is the one and only for now.

But, overall the experience was good. I had to learn all of the products, which is hopefully. I got familiarize with where the products are, and I am satisfied that what I have learnt through the internet and the wife has been put to good use.

But hor . . .
The food court, the food is expensive. One plate of chicken rice cost $3.30 and is not nice de lohx. Eekk. Waste of money. OK, I shall hunt kopitiam tomorrow.

Good-Bye Hoods Inc. Hello New Beginning

I have left Hoods Inc. yesterday. And now I am back to square one. Don't tell me about all those theories of yours, it is my decision. You may say it is a dumb decision since it is economic recession now. But to me, it is a wise decision.

I left Hoods Inc. is mainly because of certain issues within me. What I have learnt and gained during my time with them, I truly appreciate it and do it with my utmost best performance ever.

To the cast and crew, if there is a chance, I'm sure we'll meet again. I think I'm going to miss Marie's silly jokes and riddles. *laughs*

Whatever that is people, I have no regrets for this quick decision of mine. :D

Yellowish Tan

Sometimes I need to be under the sun during work. Sometimes I will be in the air-conditioned room enjoying aircon. Sometimes I need to be under the slight rain or heavy rain with or without umbrella.

I am trying to enjoy my job in some ways. Be it cleaning the entire balcony, doing nothing, sweeping floors and mopping. Whatever it is, I am trying to enjoy it. People there aren't friendly towards me, and I am trying to give them some time. I am giving myself some time too, to blend into the working environment as well as sacrificing my sleep and free time.

I will be having lesser sleep than the wife now. But I am trying not to complain, as I am told that even if I am tired, don't complain or say it because it will affect the whole production crew. And yes, I am trying to get use to it. What I dreaded most was my weekend is gone and I don't get to enjoy the Public Holiday this Friday. And it sucks.

Whatever that is, hopefully my disappearance for now will give the wife some time to rest. And she better do, wait till I am free like one day, I am so going to bug her in so many ways.

Anyway, the wife said that I am not suitable to have tanned skin. Because . . .

I AM YELLOWISH TAN NOW!

Haha . . .

She said yellow and tan don't go well together. OK lohx . . . Next time I will be under the shade during sun tan session or whatever that is. Bleahx . . .

I find that my job consist of taking cab from point A to point B then back to point A again. That is if you get what I mean.

I need some sleep. So tata~

Busy Schedule

I have a very busy schedule from tomorrow onwards. And there goes my public holiday for this month. I don't get to celebrate my Good Friday. No Easter eggs. :(

Here's the schedule:

5th April - 9am report, 10pm wrap up
6th to 7th April - work at office
8th April - 6:30am report, 7:30pm wrap up
9th April - work at office
10th April - 9am report, 10pm wrap up
11th April - 6am report, 7pm wrap up

And when I said wrap up, it doesn't mean I knocked off from work. There's cleaning to do as predicted.
So I have listed my schedule here, hopefully the wife will see it and make sure that the kids are fine during my absence. =x

But I guess after the 18th, most probably there's another production coming. *faint*

Cuts and Bruises

It is like spring cleaning today. Moved many things, cleaned many things. And it's only me and one muscular female colleague doing all of it. The weather is warm, no air con. The fan doesn't bloody-ly blow at my direction. Many dust and sharp edges. Many rats poo. Sickening.

I had bruises and cuts from the cleaning and moving. I can literally feel my muscles aching. Moved many things till I've lost count. sickening.

While cleaning, Scruffy is the KPO dog. Haha . . Although he barks at me most of the time when I appear at the stair way, he is still adorable in so many ways. He can just sit down and let you sayang him when you want to/started to sayang him. As for Chewy, he just loves to kiss. Haha . . .

Working Makes Me Stress & Tired

Working seriously made me stress and so I need a pack of this. Bought this at the 7-Eleven at the MRT station and I kena checked I/C like again. Haha . . .

Today's job consist of travelling. So here's a summary of where I traveled to.

See I travlled a lot of places today. Haha . . . Because the office is still sort of renovating and redesigning, so I do all these 跑腿 work. But then again, I think this is what Production Assistant is all about. I just work barely a week, the wife complains my tummy has harden. Muslces forming mahx. Cannot blame. I think my arm and legs one is forming again too. Haha . . . After long time of no wushu training, all turns to fats liao. =x

I helped out a little during production. And I can the production process is a lot of work. :( From controlling of traffic to maintaining crowds noises etc. to carry all the things needed. But I can say it's a whole new lot of experience for me.

Met the other colleagues of mine. Marie is quite friendly. The others not sure of their name. Most of them are females though. Haha . . . Girl Power! OK, maybe wait till I met all the others then say.

3rd Day of Work

There's works going on at the office. From contractors to electrician to aircon repair men. Then I had to plug out the plugs and cables and no computer the whole day. I had to do nothing other than drawing, reading [Breaking Dawn] again and playing some games on my NDS. But of course, I do run errands.

Because there's really nothing for me to do the whole day, I had to collect some stuffs and deliver some stuffs. And I totally forgot about the vacuum cleaner. *hit myself*

Really bored to death I tell you. We either gossip, talk and do nothing. The dogs are locked up in their own toilet because the whole place is in a mess and there's works going on.

Then one of the erm, don't know which area he works in brought in this to show Bratina. ta-da~ Nice lamp isn't it? I think the wife will like it.

I knocked off earlier because the computer isn't ready to be used yet. Reporting to work tomorrow one hour later than the usual time I had to report for work. Can sleep slightly later! Yippee~

Tired.

I bought two boxes of donuts from Missy Donuts. One for the wife and the other for myself. Been delivering boxes of donuts lately that I feel like having some and thus got a box for myself. *happy*

But because the wife had so much to carry, her box of donuts is still with me. She said that even if she brings home now, most probably not her family will be having it. It will be the mahjong kakis.

Then I thought of my poor mother-in-law. :(
