8 More Days

Just 8 more days, and I'm off to Indulgz for a meal with Baby for our 1st Year Anniversary.

Yes, Indulgz, the one that Xiaxue blogs about? We're going there, after one occasion where I said I wanted to try the food there since Xiaxue has given good comments on it. Although it was a little or rather way over expensive then we could afford, Baby says not to worry. Because it's once in a while, it's not that we're having expensive meals everyday. Besides, she said if the food is nice, I can consider having my 21st birthday bash there if I wanted to. Yes, Micky's birthday bash.

I've already thought of a theme for my 21st birthday bash. It would be panda, and I would so hopefully wish that all of my guest will come attend my birthday in panda costumes. Imagine dozens of pandas in a place, how nice. Why Singapore doesn't have any pandas to look at?

Anyway, many had been asking me when I'm starting work. And since I didn't know when, I e-mailed Jamie, the company's coordinator. She said since I'm starting as a part-timer, so when there's project and in need of man power, they'll contact me. So they'll keep my files and call me when they needed people. Yup, so much of a company but it's better than nothing. So, currently, I'm just rotting at home reading books. Nope, Baby won't be feeding and sponsoring my daily expenses. Because so far there isn't a need to.

Another question popped out. Why am I called Micky?
Simple.

During secondary school, there's quite a number of people had the same name as me. Like say, there's one mixed blood Michelle who is one year younger than me. And there's another Michelle like say, around two years younger than me.

And to avoid calling me Michelle, where many would respond by turning their heads, my friends decided to call me Micky instead. It's the same logic, for Geraldine in my level.

For Normal Academic classes, we've Geraldine Goh, Geraldine Pang and Gerardine Loke. So we just call them by the surname to differentiate the different Geraldine. Although Loke's name should be pronounce as Ge-rar-dine, many still mispronounce it as Geraldine instead. And she was totally happy when Ms. Betsy Teo pronounce it the right way.

So yup, that's why I'm called Micky.
