The Dinner & The Lunch

Ah . . .
Friday night met up the wife, Jasmine, Kat and Claire for dinner at Makansutra. I don't know what's the actual name of the place, but the cup of the drink I had says Makansutra. Even the shelter like umbrella thing above my head says Makansutra. So I assume it is Makansutra lahx.

It is located opposite Marina Square, somewhere next to the Esplanade. I can see the river/sea of Marina where there is a lot of those wishing spheres floating. Anyway, the Makansutra is something like Chomp Chomp, as in the food and ambience. We had stingray (2 plates) and a plate of Kang Kong. We each had a different drink to go with. Calamansi, Lime Juice, Green tea and Sugar Cane.

After tasting the stingray when it arrived, I felt disappointed. :(
The taste isn't the kind I am looking forward to. I still prefer the ones I ate at AMK and Chomp Chomp. So I shall visit this two places if I ever had cravings for Stingray again. I didn't taste the kang kong because I didn't feel like eating it. I like my lime juice. Sour~ Woots~

As for the sugar cane, I did not try it. The wife says it taste like sugar water instead. And it cost around $1+ for a regular cup. Next time we head off to Chomp Chomp OK? Bigger cup can be shared by 2 person and the price was around $2. Worth it.

Anyway . . .
The lunch I had yesterday was super nice! After the trip to Serangoon North with Jasmine and the wife, we head off to Hougang for lunch where we can take the bus 88 to my place straight. The wife and I tried the western food at the coffeeshop while Jas had the curry rice.

I say the western food was nice! The presentation wise is already good. We even had two side dishes each to go along with the main course. YumYum! The soup, the garlic bread, is super mouthwatering. The price was, reasonable. The taste of the main course can be compared with the restuarant. Yummy!

I want to go back there again! I like my main coure, my side dish of potato and pasta. Yum Yum!
