Marley & Me was a well written book my John Grogan. It's been years since reading a book would make me cry. I seriously could relate myself, in losing someone I love, be it my pet or my love ones.Marley & Me started out when John and Jenny, his wife, was thinking of starting a family. And being paranoid of not being able to keep even a plant alive, Jenny was reluctant to have a baby. Thus, they started out by keeping a dog.
They went to this Labrador Retriever breeder, and pick out their dog. By testing and choosing the brave one, not the timid one. They had difficulties in naming their dog, but came to a conclusion in naming him Marley after listening to their favourite singer, whose name was also Marley.
To me, Marley was cute. In that sense that he won't harm the babies, but try to chew a little on their diapers instead. Apart from his energetic behaviour, they still love him for who he was. Marley was strong, and that whenever a storm occurs, he'll make a mess around where he was locked up in. Making himself injured, where both John and Jenny would find a bloodied Marley.
The ending was a little sad. I teared as I read the last few chapters. The best part was, there's an article that was in the book, where John had written as a columnist to be put up in the newspaper.

Yes, I've finished reading [Marley and Me]. Now I'm reading, [the bad dog's diary]. Kind of nice too. At first it might be boring for me, but as I read on, I'm loving it.
